updated 12/05/2009

Question

Answer

Who is the Scoutmaster?

Joe Polta: scoutmaster@troop695.org, phone: 952-974-0264.

Whom do I contact to learn more about the Troop?

Contact the scoutmaster.

My Webelos want to visit Troop 695.
Who is the Recruiting Chair?

Don Qually, or Burt Boudreaux.

When and where does the Troop meet?

Prairie Lutheran Church, Tuesdays, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

11000 Blossom Road

Eden Prairie, MN

What are the costs?

In order to be a member of the Troop, each Scout must pay $50.00 annually.  In addition, there are monthly camping costs and the scout must provide his own personal camping equipment.

What do I need for camping supplies?

Check the Scout Handbook and the Troop 695 Guidebook

Is your troop boy-run?

Every troop is boy-run, because the Boy Scout program is intended to be boy-run.  Like most Boy Scout Troops, we at Troop 695 are constantly looking for ways to have our Scouts take more responsibility for running their program.

Where can I purchase a Scout uniform?

At the Scout Shop: 5300 Glenwood Avenue, Golden Valley or 14250 Plymouth Ave, Burnsville.

What can a parent do to assist?

We always need parents who are willing to take an active role in the Troop.  You can serve as an Assistant Scoutmaster or Committee Member.  We also need parents to help drive Scouts to campouts, help with merit badge classes, serve on Boards of Review, help plan campouts, assist with fundraisers, etc.  Parents are also encouraged to attend all Boy Scout meetings, events, and campouts.  Parents who attend campouts will be made part of the "Old Goats" Patrol while your sons camp with their own Patrols. We want both you and your Scout to participate and enjoy the Scouting experience. If you wish to participate, please speak with the Scoutmaster or Committee Chair.

Do you need further information?

Check the Scout Handbook and the Troop 695 Guidebook.

What if I still have questions?

Contact the scoutmaster.
