Assistant Senior Patrol Leader

Job Description

The ASPL assists the SPL in all of his duties.  He steps in and takes charge whenever the SPL is not in attendance.

He attends PLC meetings and Junior Leader Training, and writes a monthly article for the newsletter.

He keeps his notebook updated, and passes it on to the next Scout to hold his position.

He works with the Scoutmaster in carrying out his duties.

Suggested Goals

  • Attend all campouts during the next 6 months;
  • Attend all Troop Meetings and activities during
    the next 6 months;
  • Attend all SPL and PLC meetings in the next 6 months;
  • Help the SPL coordinate and run Junior Leader Training;
  • Write a monthly article for The Reconnaissance;
  • Keep ASPL notebook updated;
  • Assist the SPL in performing all of his duties;
  • Pass the ASPL notebook on to the next ASPL;
  • Assist in the next ASPL’s transition;
