Job Description
The Troop Camping Instructor is
proficient in all aspects of camping, such as campsite selection,
campsite set-up & tear down, and camping equipment. He uses his
skills to help other Scouts with their advancement, and to help the
Troop prepare for Camporee competitions. He actively seeks out Scouts
who may need his assistance. He attends all campouts so that he will
be available to help with skill training. He conducts campsite
inspections on a daily basis. He gives "Tips of the Month" at
Troop Meetings, posting them afterwards on the bulletin board. He
attends PLC meetings and Junior Leader Training, and writes a monthly
article for the newsletter. He keeps his notebook updated, and passes it
on to the next Scout to hold his position.

Attend all campouts during the next 6 months.

Assist other Scouts with the camping requirements for Tenderfoot,
2nd Class, and 1st Class ranks.
