General Information
Hopkins Care Center is a nursing home in
Hopkins, Minnesota. Every Sunday afternoon, between 15 and 30
residents get together to play Bingo in the cafeteria.
Troop 695 needs LOTS of volunteers to
participate in this Sunday afternoon service. We have committed to
helping the Activities Director at HCC with this activity and we must come
through for her and for the residents. They love having us!
Even if you have completed enough service
hours for your rank, you can continue to participate in this service
project. It is a great way for you to give back to the community and
to "help other people at all times."
Duties include setting up the cafeteria
for Bingo, helping residents in wheel chairs get from their rooms to the
cafeteria, serving lemonade and cookies, calling Bingo, and helping
residents play the game. Some of the residents are memory care
patients and need a lot of help playing Bingo. They really love having
the Scouts assist them.
